On 11-12 november 2024, Michał Barański, PhD and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Silesia in Katowice, delivered a lecture on labour law. During the lecture, the audience was also introduced to the historical roots of labour law, and the basic concepts of labour law in the Polish Constitution and Labour Code. This was followed by a discussion of contentious labour law disputes in practice in connection with the fundamental rights of the employees’ and a summary of the challenges ahead. The presentation was complemented by many interactive parts, like discussions and videos, which gave an even better insight into the problems in the field of labour law.
